AfterWord Residency: Death Valley

June 11 June 13, 2026

As a venue partner for Denver Public Library’s AfterWord Residency, Union Hall is pleased to present an immersive experience in response to and inspired by Melissa Broder’s book, Death Valley, with local artist Courtney Ozaki-Durgin. Check in at an inconspicuous Best Western motel in Death Valley and travel through the magically real memories of Broder's quirky protagonist as she navigates grief and mortality on an unexpected journey through the Mojave Desert.
