Adán De La Garza — Desert

Desert is a solo exhibition by artist Adán De La Garza, a speculative fiction narrative exploring the near future and the events leading to environmental collapse on Earth. The exhibition features video-based works depicting an ever-expanding desert that relentlessly pursues climate migrants, chronicling Earth's gradual desertification.
About the Artist
Adán De La Garza is an interdisciplinary artist and curator based in Denver, Colorado. Working across video, sound, performance, and photography, his practice examines the dire circumstances of late stage capitalism, political stagnation, and environmentalism. Heavily invested in DIY ethics, Adán is deeply engaged in Denver's experimental arts community through projects such as Collective Misnomer, Dizzy Spell, and Denver Month Of Video. Adán holds a BFA in Photography from the University of Arizona and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Media Arts Practices from CU Boulder.
