About the Tours

How can exceptional design and creative problem-solving make uncommon things happen in common spaces? At Union Hall, the answer is a new model for cultural space, one that brings art and the public together within a private real estate development (The Coloradan). As the first arts nonprofit in Denver to adopt this model, Union Hall demonstrates how mixed-use venues can redefine what’s possible when cultural relevance, public access, and thoughtful design intersect.

Designed as a highly adaptable black-box venue, Union Hall pairs customized features for flexibility and theatrical appeal. The result is an art gallery and event venue unlike any other in Denver: a space capable of transforming to support a wide range of artistic and community experiences.

Located just steps from the city’s central transit hub, Union Hall is helping shape the idea of Destination Downtown by making culture more accessible and integrating it into the everyday urban experience.

About the Architect

Haily Tweedie was part of the original team of architects at Semple Brown who designed Union Hall. With nearly two decades of experience across hospitality, residential, and restaurant spaces, Haily Haily brought an artful and inventive approach to the project, particularly in solving the building’s quirky architectural and interior design challenges. She now leads her own architecture and interior design firm, Tweed Studio, based in Denver.
