The Horrors That Persist: The Void

  • Union Hall 1750 Wewatta Street, Suite 144 Denver, CO, 80202 United States (map)

The Horrors That Persist: The Void is an immersive theatre experience that takes the audience on a hero's journey through the lens of the inner child. Through music and soundscapes, audience participation, and community support, a story of triumph for our hero, Ghosty, will unfold. Ghosty starts this journey in their home, a cozy pocket of spacetime in our galaxy, where they lead their friends, the audience, in play. But they are soon discovered by an entity called Care Corp and taken away to participate in "reality". When forced to conform to a capitalistic existence and abandon their joy, Ghosty finally learns how to push back and realizes that they need the help of their friends to overcome and demolish the oppressive systems of this rigid world. Finally, Ghosty learns their true identity: Arden. Arden breaks out of Care Corp's trap and with the help of their community, rebuilds a beautiful new world. Along the journey, Arden learns that this is the only way to heal the child inside and live a life full of joy and potential.
