Open Call for Curatorial Proposals
From September 8th - October 27th, 2025, Union Hall is accepting applications for the seventh annual Rough Gems curatorial program. Artists, cultural producers, and aspiring curators are invited to submit proposals for original exhibitions that push boundaries, spark conversation, and reflect the vibrancy of the Denver Metropolitan community.
Rough Gems offers a platform for three new and emerging curators/curator teams to present an exhibition at Union Hall, complete with financial support, professional mentorship, and access to valuable resources. Selected exhibitions will take place in six week increments throughout 2026.
Whether you're an artist interested in stepping into a curatorial role, a storyteller with a compelling theme, or someone seeking a platform to shape and share an original exhibition, Rough Gems provides a rare opportunity to develop your vision in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Applications are due on October 27th, 2025 by 11:59 PM MT
Several improvements have been made to the application process and the program. Prospective applicants are highly encouraged to attend one or both of the information sessions.
