Virtual Application Information Session: 2026 Rough Gems program
This is the first of two information sessions for prospective applicants to learn more about the 2026 Rough Gems curatorial training program and ask questions. If you're in the process of applying for Rough Gems 2026, curious about applying, or have general questions, you're encouraged to join Union Hall's Chief Curator Esther Hernandez for this Virtual Rough Gems Application Info Session.
Several improvements have been made to the application process this year. Prospective applicants are highly encouraged to attend one or both of these information sessions. RSVP is encouraged but not required.
The second info session is a Happy Hour with Rough Gems Alumni on Tuesday, October 14th from 6:00-7:30pm MT at Union Hall.
About the Rough Gems program
Taking place at Union Hall Art Space in six-week increments throughout 2026, Rough Gems will showcase original exhibitions produced by three, emerging Denver-area curators/curator teams. Each of the three selected proposals will receive mentorship and access to Union Hall’s space, budget, and has the ability to supplement the exhibition with one additional event or program. The mission of the Rough Gems program is to broaden the voices responsible for exhibition making in Denver.
2026 Applications close on October 27th, 2025 at 11:59pm MT
