Loving at Intersections is a 2-hour performing artist showcase that explores the complexities and distinct realists of living and loving as members of the BIPoC community. Curated by Chicano spoken word artist Mateo Manual Vela in collaboration with the BIPoC youth poetry organization Sacred Voices and Union Hall, this event centers the love stories of BIPoC artists in all its forms — familial, communal, romantic, and ancestral.
Mateo Vela will be featuring selections from his forthcoming poetry chapbook, Love Letters I Never Sent.
Loving at Intersections seeks BIPoC performing artists across multiple genres to submit a proposal to perform a 10-minute performing arts set (poetry, music, monologue, theater, etc).
