About The Ultimate Boon

In conjunction with Denver’s Month of Photography celebration in March 2023, guest curators Nadiya Jackson and Florence Blackwell present an introduction to five artists who have utilized their art to navigate various life-altering experiences to reach their boon. Boon (noun) is a thing that is helpful or beneficial. The featured artists have surmounted personal obstacles by discovering and honing their chosen mediums and practices. By uniting creatives who work across visual and sonic disciplines, the audience will immerse themselves in these robust narratives that catapult them to an empathic state while even embarking on their own understanding of their journeys to bring them to their Ultimate Boon.

Featured artists include Coltyn Cody, Lizeth Guadalupe, Isaac Jordan Lee, Eduardo Vazquez, and Xavley.
